How To Clean Thick-Walled Seamless Steel Pipes?

Release Tme: 2023-12-15

Mechanical cleaning:
Use mechanical means, such as wire brushes, sandpaper, grinding wheels, etc., to physically clean the pipe surface. This is great for removing larger oil stains, rust and oxides.
Surface treatment agent:
Use surface treatment agents, such as pickling or alkaline cleaning solutions, to chemically treat the pipe surface. Acid washing effectively removes oxides, while alkaline washing helps remove grease and dirt. When using chemical cleaning agents, you should pay attention to safe operations and follow relevant environmental protection and safety standards.
Solvent cleaning:
Use solvents, such as alcohol, acetone, etc., to clean grease contamination. This method is suitable for light oil stains.
High pressure water cleaning:
Use high-pressure water cleaning equipment to wash the pipe surface through high-pressure water flow to remove dirt. This is more effective for some particles and light oil stains that adhere to the surface of the pipe.
Steam cleaning:
Use steam cleaning equipment to clean the pipe surface through steam. Steam has high temperature and cleaning power, and can effectively remove some difficult-to-treat oil and dirt.
Ultrasonic cleaning:
For some small parts or the inside of pipes, you can consider using ultrasonic cleaning technology. Ultrasonic vibrations can help remove tiny particles and surface deposits.
Before performing cleaning operations, you need to pay attention to the following matters:
Safety: During any cleaning process, ensure the safety of the work area and take appropriate protective measures, including wearing protective glasses, gloves, etc.
Environmental protection: Choose environmentally friendly cleaning agents to avoid adverse effects on the environment.
Anti-rust treatment: After cleaning, perform anti-rust treatment in time to prevent the pipeline from oxidizing or rusting again.
