Russian clients visited GNEE to purchase A312 316 stainless steel pipes and custom pipe fittings

A procurement buyer from Russia recently visited GNEE, hosted throughout by sales representative Lynn. The two sides held detailed discussions on a purchase of ASTM A312 TP316 stainless steel pipe together with made-to-spec butt-weld fittings. The buyer serves chemical and oil-and-gas processing projects at home, and set clear requirements on corrosion resistance and material traceability.

In earlier email exchanges led by Lynn, the grade, dimensions, and inspection terms were preliminarily fixed. TP316 is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel (Mo 2%–3%) whose resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion clearly exceeds that of 304. It suits chloride-containing media, seawater, and acidic service, with continuous operating temperatures up to about 870°C. Besides standard pipe, the order includes custom fittings made to ASTM A403 WP316 and dimensioned per ASME B16.9 — elbows, tees, reducers and similar parts — with wall thickness, end preparation, and surface finish defined by the service conditions.

During the visit, Lynn walked the buyer through the stainless production and testing workshops. Highlights included the solution-annealing line, PMI spectroscopic verification, hydrostatic testing, eddy-current and ultrasonic NDT, and intergranular-corrosion testing carried out on request. The buyer also reviewed export packing and stock organization, and confirmed lead time and batch traceability through MTC / EN 10204 3.1 certificates.

After a full day of technical and commercial review, the buyer acknowledged GNEE's supply capability and quality system. Both sides agreed to proceed with sample shipment and discuss first-order details. GNEE will continue to support overseas corrosion-resistant piping projects with compliant materials and full traceability.
