ASTM A250 Alloy Boiler Tube

ASTM A250 alloy boiler tube is a resistance welded carbon-molybdenum and chromium-molybdenum alloy steel tube used in boilers and superheaters. Its standard number is ASTM A250/A250M-04.
ASTM A250 Boiler Tube Steel Pipe has a minimum wall thickness of 0.035 inches and an outside diameter of 1/2 to 5 inches, and pipe sizes and thicknesses are typically offered in this range.

1.1 This specification covers several grades, designated as T1, T1a, T1b, T2, T11, T12, and T22, of minimum wall thickness resistance welded carbon-molybdenum and chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, boiler tubes, and superheater tubes.
1.2 Pipe sizes and thicknesses generally supplied in accordance with this specification are 1/2 to 5 in. [12.7 to 127 mm] outside diameter and minimum wall thicknesses from 0.035 to 0.320 in. [0.9 to 8.1 mm], inclusive. Pipes of other sizes may be supplied provided that such pipes comply with all other requirements of this specification.
1.3 Mechanical property requirements do not apply to pipe with an inside diameter less than 1/8 in. [3.2 mm] or a thickness less than 0.015 in. [0.4 mm].
