3PE Anti-corrosion Process:

3PE is a three-layer anti-corrosion process. It consists of an outer layer of polyethylene (PE), a middle layer of adhesive (AD), and an inner layer of epoxy powder (FBE). The outer polyethylene layer is typically 2-3 mm thick, providing good weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and resistance to mechanical damage, acting as a robust outer shell to protect the steel pipe. The middle adhesive layer is approximately 170-250 μm thick, its main function being to bond the epoxy powder layer and the outer polyethylene layer together effectively. The inner epoxy powder layer is approximately 30-50 μm thick, it bonds tightly to the steel pipe surface, providing basic anti-corrosion protection and a good adhesion foundation for the entire coating system.

FBE Anti-corrosion Process:

FBE is a single-coat anti-corrosion process. It involves applying epoxy powder to the steel pipe surface via electrostatic spraying, then melting and curing the powder at high temperature to form an anti-corrosion coating. The coating thickness is generally between 300 and 500 μm. It is directly and tightly bonded to the steel pipe substrate, relying on the excellent properties of the epoxy powder itself to prevent the steel pipe from being corroded, such as chemical corrosion resistance and strong adhesion.

Applications of 3PE Anti-corrosion Pipes:

In oil and gas transportation, 3PE anti-corrosion pipes are ideal for long-distance pipelines. Oil and natural gas are typically corrosive, and 3PE anti-corrosion pipes effectively resist this corrosion, ensuring the safety and stability of the transportation process, reducing the risk of leaks due to pipeline corrosion, and guaranteeing the smooth transport of energy.

3PE anti-corrosion pipes are also commonly used in urban water supply systems. Urban water supply pipelines are constantly exposed to a humid environment and are easily corroded by impurities and microorganisms in the water. The 3PE anti-corrosion layer prevents rust and corrosion, extends the service life of the pipelines, and ensures the quality and stability of water supply for urban residents.

In the wastewater treatment field, 3PE anti-corrosion pipes are used for sewage discharge pipelines. Wastewater contains various harmful substances and is highly corrosive to pipelines. 3PE anti-corrosion pipes resist the erosion of wastewater, ensuring smooth sewage discharge and preventing malfunctions in the wastewater treatment system due to pipeline damage.

In the chemical industry, 3PE anti-corrosion pipes are also used for the transportation of some corrosive chemical liquids or gases. They can withstand the corrosion of chemical media, ensuring the safe transportation of materials during chemical production and maintaining the normal operation of chemical production.

3PE anti-corrosion pipes are also used in some underground water supply and drainage pipelines and heating pipelines in the construction industry. The underground environment is complex, with acidic and alkaline substances in the soil. 3PE anti-corrosion pipes can adapt to this environment, protect the pipelines from damage, and ensure the long-term stable operation of building-related systems.

FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) anti-corrosion pipes are mainly used in the following fields and applications:

Pipeline Transportation: FBE anti-corrosion pipes are widely used in pipeline transportation systems in industries such as petroleum, natural gas, chemicals, and water treatment. Their excellent corrosion resistance and wear resistance ensure long-term stable pipeline operation.

Marine Engineering: FBE anti-corrosion pipes also have wide applications in marine engineering, such as offshore platforms and subsea pipelines. Their corrosion resistance and resistance to marine organism adhesion make them an indispensable material in marine engineering.

Industrial Equipment: FBE anti-corrosion pipes are also used for corrosion protection of various industrial equipment, such as storage tanks, reactors, and heat exchangers. Their excellent chemical corrosion resistance and mechanical properties ensure long-term stable operation of these devices in harsh environments.

Construction Engineering: FBE anti-corrosion pipes also have some applications in construction engineering, such as underground pipelines and cable conduits. Their excellent chemical corrosion resistance and durability ensure long-term stable operation of these facilities in harsh environments.

Agricultural Irrigation: FBE anti-corrosion pipes are also used in agricultural irrigation systems. Their corrosion resistance and pressure resistance can ensure the long-term stable operation of the irrigation system and improve agricultural production efficiency.
