The chromium content in 446 stainless steel is as high as 27%, which can enhance its corrosion resistance. At the same time, the addition of molybdenum can improve its strength and hardness, and can also reduce the cracking tendency of 446 stainless steel thick-walled pipes. Therefore, the control of molybdenum content is very critical. In addition, the carbon content of 446 stainless steel round pipes should be kept below 0.05% to ensure that its corrosion resistance is not affected.
