Thai clients visit GNEE Group for API 5L X60 PSL2 large diameter pipeline

This week, our company had the distinct pleasure of hosting a high-level technical and procurement delegation from a leading Thai energy and engineering consortium. The visit focused on the final technical alignment and procurement phase for API 5L X60 (L415) PSL2 Large Diameter Pipes, intended for a major natural gas transmission and water infrastructure project in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

The delegation conducted an in-depth tour of our LSAW (Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding) and SSAW (Spiral Submerged Arc Welding) production lines. As the project requires large diameters (ranging from 24" to 48"), they were particularly impressed by our:

• JCOE Forming Technology: Ensuring high dimensional accuracy and minimal residual stress for LSAW pipes.

• Advanced Welding Automation: Our double-sided submerged arc welding process that guarantees deep penetration and high-integrity seams.

• Surface Treatment: Discussion on 3LPE and Internal Liquid Epoxy coatings, essential for protecting pipelines against Thailand’s high humidity and soil corrosion.

Trust is the foundation of our international partnerships. The Thai engineers witnessed live quality inspections in our laboratory, including:

• 100% Hydrostatic Testing: Verifying that every pipe can withstand 1.5x its design pressure.

• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): Real-time Ultrasonic (UT) and X-ray inspections of the full-length weld seams.

• Dimensional Precision: Checking the out-of-roundness and bevel angles to ensure effortless field welding at the Thai project site.

 

The visit concluded with a signing ceremony for the first batch of the procurement contract. This partnership reinforces our commitment to supporting Thailand's infrastructure growth and energy security. By combining our manufacturing expertise with the strategic needs of the Thai market, we are building more than just pipelines—we are building a shared future for regional connectivity.
